Because I know how much you guys love me jumping around in this thread I thought I would put this out here.

Found the cam on youtube again with a new sound clip... sounds mean can't wait to fire it.

No one seems to stick these into 6.0's all 5.3's wonder what difference it will make?

It is very close to the 40% I'm going to take a flap disk to the diff to gain the extra clearance needed.

How important is getting the same bump travel numbers on both sides? Also how much clearance should I put the diff to cross member? 1/8th?

Equal bump. As for clearance, things will flex. 1/4 minimum.

Still can remove some more material, may trim it down a little more

Sounds good, think I may sell my 2 sets of shock hoops and go towers, just can't seem to find where I feel happy with the hoops.

Let me seeif I can explain this.

Use your existing hoops. Cut them in half. Mount the staight end to the frame splayed front and back. With the curved ends pointed to the outside of the truck. A bracket between them to mount the shock. Then a bar from one side of the truck to the other side for support.

Does that make sence?

Yes. But you want the top narrower than the bottom. Gives it triangulation for strength.

Sounds good, the ORD hoops are bent differently on each side and not symmetrical. I have some from ballistic fab that are but think they might be short.

Yes that is a must! No way I would want to issue of cutting and splicing the tube back together.

I'd imagine you could do it on the cheap too with some square flanges and bolt's too.. iirc, that's the way Rene did his..
