it's never enough for a custom project. If it isn't one thing it's another... I'll be glad when these dang hoops are done and all that is left is the plates. Smoooth sailing on those then weld and I can move onto much easier work.
 
Fix the mistake.

Put the accidental cut back in place, and weld it back on with a slug inside.

It's only metal.....don't get an aneurism over it. Fix it, slap your friend and move along.

It was cut to close to the bend to sleeve so the piece is no good. I'm going to tack it back together and create the hoop anyway. When I confirm the shape reddog said he would bend me the tube in a solid piece.
 
I've got a bender, I just need him to tack something together that I can replicate with a single piece of tube. I'm going to notch the tube for him too.

He just has to drive across town to my place though. Phoenix is a big city.
 
Bought 10 feet of 1.75 .120 wall DOM. Called in reinforcements Reddog will be bringing over his bender.
 
That is the plan told him to do what ever he wants. Found his choice of beer and heading out in a bit to pick it up

3 12 packs of Arizona micro brewery four peaks kilt lifter, it's a Scottish ale. Pretty tasty but normally I can't start out drinking it, It's a little thick.
