Not going to lie grammer isn't my strongest point and it doesn't help I do a lot of posting from my phone.
 

You're clearly taking the time to make sure things are done satisfactorily, and yet you're also trying to get the truck done on a tight schedule. I don't understand how you hope to finish quickly without compromising quality (maybe you work faster than I do).

And you've changed your mind a bunch. "Let's go this way...let's go that way...let's go some other random third way." I'm confident you'll end up with an awesome rig, but I'm also confident you'll be changing your mind several more times before you get to that point.

Either way...the thread has been quite fun to read. Redoing the front in tubing is quite a novel idea for me and my stock street rigs. :waytogo:

One and done is the object, this will be my only lifetime rebuild and I want it done right and the way I want it. Safety is a major concern of mine sense I want to drive it like Chevy intended. The randomness is me planning multiple attacks but looking for the safest and best way. To be honest with you I didn't know what I was getting myself into, before I started I didn't know how to use a grinder or a welder.... I took on a big project with a very strict goal. With the help of friends I have been able to accomplish what I have done.

I doubt the truck will make it to Moab but hey a guy can hope.

Can't speak for others, but I'm proud of what you've accomplished, and I keep up with reading through this thread because the ideas floating through here are really neat. I can't wait to see what lies ahead! :waytogo:

Chevy didnt know about nut jobs like us. Thank you very much, it's complements like that push me further to reach my goal! Even people telling me I couldn't do what I have done push me to do it and laugh.
 
Hey Baba, looks like I wont be using purge plug. The computer program and re-wire is set up to run without a MAF. The factory IAT sensor is in the MAF, so an external one has to be ran. My re-worked harness has one now and it goes in the same spot :doah: So, looks like I don't need this. Want it?

Why was the MAF sensor eliminated?

It is a Speed Density tune only, so it doesn't use the MAF. Seems like a lot of folks do away with them, especially when custom intakes are used. However, I had the guy keep the MAF plug in the harness, instead of removing it like normal. So I can always go back without too much fuss, or if I start modding the engine and have it dyno tuned locally, which the company I would go to tends to use the MAF. Currently, the new IAT sensor is spliced into the MAF wiring instead of eliminating it. As long as I use ONE or the other only, there wont be a problem.

Thats certainly not the norm. Wonder what the reasoning is behind it. Seems like a good thing to have.

The MAF is really only used for steady state driving conditions. The base tune is SD, then the MAF adds it's info during cruising. City driving doesn't use the MAF, pro-touring, towing, drag racing, etc too. If you Google LSX swap images, you hardly ever see a MAF in the intake. It's also been reported that custom intakes can play hell on MAF readings too, but I can't confirm that.

Time will tell. Reason I made sure I can go back without a problem.
 
I ran the dimensions of the 4 link into the calculator and got this, is it me or is something horribly off? Why is my anti squat and everything else seem so weird? Every time I have seen someone run the calc they are positive and about 50 in AS? What is puzzeling is my lower link is perfectly flat at ride height with the tire rolling radius of a 35. :eek1:

Im pretty sure you got some stuff not quite right. I can see from your pics that the frame ends of the links are closer together (height wise) than the axle ends, yet the calc has it the other way around.
 
It's the Z axis of the axle end link locations. :doah:

I measured wrong from the guide I used and imputed the stuff wrong. I can guess for now off what I have but it won't be exact.


EDIT
To make it more clear, the lower link at ride height should on the axle end will be at X measurement, the upper link is at another X measurement. The link separation and center of gravity is where the anti-squat is figured in and which is why these measurements need to be exact. Now what is the happy medium figure? I have no idea but this will cause it to lift and dive.
