If you don't mind find a little out about it. I have cash in hand waiting.:thumb:

Kind of leaving to a 2500. Just tired of having saggy half ton springs on a truck and I like the option of towing the mall crawler on long trips. Would kind of like a gas engine because I know the engine.

Just out of curiosity whats the story behind the saggy half ton springs? I keep seeing you throw that comment out there and the way i read it everytime is that a half ton truck cant handle what your dishing out to it. Ive put some half tons thru the ropes before and done things a half ton shouldnt be doing but i have never wore springs out in the manner that im interpreting you are saying you do. So what is it exactly your doing to these trucks in your experience to go thru leaf springs? Got any pics example pics of something super sketchy? Were you pulling a low boy and a d9 with a half ton or what? Haha or maby i am just mis interpreting the context

2500hd 4x4 dmax crew cab. Not sure of the year or miles. Used it to tow his 3000 pound boat for fishing.

He also has a nice 70 k5 that he just finished on 20's:doah: It does look good though. And he built it as a daily driver pavement pounder.

Who? Did you forget a pic or half a post? :dunno:

Not really destroying them but making them settle way quicker then normal. This is the most load it saw.http://coloradok5.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3031759&postcount=13 granted thats like 6000lbs if not more. If I needed a truck to do that and the suspension sags that far how is the brakes going to hold it? Granted a brake controller goes a long ways but so does bigger brakes. Combine both of those and it should be a solid platform and be safe for passengers and other drivers.

Well in theory, your only supposed to have something like 500lbs of toung weight if the trailer is properly loaded right?

Just for fun.

My truck with trailer. Unloaded.

And loaded with the burb.

I just estimated that 500 to a thousand pounds of toung weight would squat the suspension around 2-3 inches so I just pulled the burb forward on the trailer until that was achieved. Towed just fine.

I blame the seasons.

This time of year when the weather is cold and bleak, I catch myself posting stuff that's just a bit more "edgy" or "intolerant" than I do at other times of the year...... :doah: I find myself going back to edit recent posts to take some of the "jerk" out of them. :haha:

If I were being complete self-aware, I'd probably say that it was from my own frustrations about not working in the shop on my own junk lately. I want to see SOMEBODY making progress so that I can feed off that energy and find some motivation for myself.

In the dead of winter, I'd bet that everyone is just getting antsy... Give it about 60 days and this site is going to be bustling with progress and build thread updates from everyone, and I'll betcha the attitudes will all be a lot more positive too....

Yeah...it is that time of year when progress just stops. I think you're right. :(

It didn't help I leveled the front end and with a load the front end would get light being nose high.

Why not do air bags to prevent the Cali lean when towing? You could buy a 1/2 ton and cruise around for a while then install the bags when you're ready to tow your truck around. You'd get better mileage and a more comfortable ride. Besides you can't throw a rock without hitting a chevy 1/2 ton so there's plenty to choose from.

:haha::doah::haha::doah::haha::doah::haha::doah::haha:

Not sure which one to do.

2006 2500HD Duramax, CC, SB, "Remington" edition. 163k miles. very well cared for as he is meticulous about maintenance. Remington package has high end leather, really cool gauge cluster that looks like shot gun shell kind of. Trailer brakes. Goose neck hitch. Tires are at 75%. Black. Minor body imperfections but nothing that takes away from the value.

$17,000:doah::haha:

Until I did this.
