You better chuck a couple on the truck!
I told him that earlier and he said it was too long of a drive for the little amount of work...
WTF

You better chuck a couple on the truck!

it was too long of a drive for the little amount of work...:

Usually I'm one to say just get it on the road like Brandon is saying, butttt.... To run 56's isn't the age old routine to just swap the flip brackets from one side to the other and run 6" shackles? If it were me, I go to the local pick-n-pull and get some 56" springs out of a late 80's 3/4t burb and throw them in with the flip brackets swapped around.
I'm pretty sure this is what a buddy of mine did and he raved about how much better the ride was in his 78 1/2ton pickup.
You probably know better than I do though. If it does work, I may try it one day myself.I know this will work with 54s but I don't know about 56s.You probably know better than I do though. If it does work, I may try it one day myself.
Sweet. I figured you would have to move the front spring bracket a little to get a good shackle angle. After doing this swap, are you back wheels centered in the wheel well openings? Any wheel hop when you get on the gas?
Sorry to hijack, but this thread is already about as long as the Epic of Gilgamesh anyway. CK5 just had to buy a new server just to store all the information in this one thread. It's probably a terabyte by now. At least.
just woke up, surprised I slept that long. I'll be heading over shortly.

this makes for a happy Ben moment.
