So we are now at "a hot lap that he thought was a half an inch larger"......:haha:

Theres been way to much real work happening, times for a few laughs.
 
Got some stuff done today and created a big problem. Apparently your not supposed to he man a an fitting into a trans...... Yup snapped it completely off in the trans....

So our solution is to take the cab and bed off the frame to paint, run the fuel lines and brake lines on a bare frame.:pimp:

I did get to wheel the truck off the trailer again. Sure is fun doing a combat unload with no ramps.:haha:

Tomorrow some work will be done.
 
cooler lines.. was putting in an AN fitting and snapped it off in the case.... and somehow it's easier to pull the body off to fix it in the grand scheme of madness......

they are.... I have 2 of those adapters to AN sitting on the shelf here next to me for my 700...

Yes this is correct, I was using a regular length wrench nothing fancy. For some reason I guess I thought they went in as hard as the factory ones.

Body comes off cause in the madness it actually does make things a lot easier..
 
Oh. For some reason it didn't register that you were talking about AN fittings. I thought maybe you left out a word or something. My bad. Normal cooler lines are a pain anyway. Hopefully after you get the fittings on there it will be easier to hook the lines up from then on.
 
We do, the cab is pretty much only bolted down with 1 bolt. Unhook the steering shaft and the engine wiring and set the lift and boom it's off.
 
Only boom I like to hear is the stuff slamming around during a combat unload....

I don't know why but it's hilarious.:haha:

His exhaust is pretty close/tight with the passenger frame

Being that the newer Chevy transmission runs that headache retainer with a clip and we want some heat/Fire protection we elected to go with the an lines and steal braided.

The combat unload style is a little too common for me but makes things more exciting:pimp:
 
Need to figure out a air intake system does anyone have any ideas? I would love to have it in a box pointed right at the core support hole for a cold air.

Something like this with two 90's and have the air filter tube next to the radiator and the air horn through the core support right in the grille.

Black radiates heat better. And smooth transitions would be best if you can. Why not from the side??
