I would assume with more mm thickness you would have less resistance. Maybe someone with more knowledge can properly answer your question.

The 7, 8, 10, eleventy mm thickness has nothing to do with the resistance of the wire, just the thickness of the insulation....

Thanks Martin. So same wire inside just more resistance to heat with bigger diameter? I thought that the wire gor thicker as well as the wire size for bigger to have less
Resistance to the plug.

While I'm sure there are some differences with the actual conductor inside you probably will never see much change just "getting bigger wires"

I don't know much about them but my guess is that there is a big difference between a "high end good set" of wires and the average larger dia. wires that are sold for good prices. Meaning given a certain 10mm dia. exterior I would bet that a good wire has a better conductor than the off the shelf stuff.

You can determine the difference easy just measure the resistance of the wire. Length plays into this as well. Current follows the path of least resistance. It would be ideal if all your wires could be identical length, this way you feed the plug with the same amount of current. v/i*r this will tell you exactly how many amps your delivering. Ohms law. Current is inversely proportionate to voltage. So the lower the resistance the higher the current and the lower the voltage.

This thing done yet? It's sooooo close! I'm almost positive I'm driving Shawn up the wall. I just can't wait to drive this turd....

This post is brought to you by four tall beers.:haha:

lol you are fine, me on the other hand.. I should be sleeping. i leave for a hike and wheeling in sedona in 3 hours:doah:

See you sunday.

You are a crazy man my friend. Picked up the last bit of things just now and ready for the morning. What time are we looking at?

Nope, Shawn is sick and that man deserves a day off rest.

Talks of some week night and the weekend this week. Was really hoping for a drive the 4th sense it has some sentimental value of the day this truck was torn apart. But it isn't looking good.:doah:

also isn't worth hurrying through
maybe if you bought it on the 4th, but not so much the anniversary of when you tore it down

Yaa I won't be to terribly upset, but I'm getting antsy to drive it. I want a few wheeling trips in before Moab. It's in 2 months.
