I feel your pain. I haven't dealt with it to the extent you are but I f'd up my pump when I installed my torque converter. That in turn messed up my torque converter and as a result pump made no pressure and trans didn't work. I was on a high from having my trans and engine in and running just to have to deal with pulling the stupid thing again and trying to get the pump out for an entire morning. Then driving it to trans shop, wasting $100 on fluid and popping for a new TC and Pump. I was super pissed.

It will pass. Then you will be on to sorting out the little issues that will seem to plague you. For me, it has been a bad MAF, a short I can't trace, death wobble, fueling issues, three fuel pumps and knocking.

But still loving it.

Ha

He is a tech at a Chevy dealership. I work off the 303 and have been in the car business for a bit.

I guess he is bringing another broken trans in and is going to build me a good one.

Trans is apart, completely destroyed.... converter came apart and everything heated up and had metal ran through.

Yay me!!!

Holy crap! Guess that'll do it. Too bad you spent all that time banging your head against the wall w/ electronics..

Was it a factory type converter or aftermarket?

Worst shotgun part in building history is ecm and blame the tuner. :haha: Sorry Josh, my mistake. So weird it came apart after a engine did so soon.

I thought I'd read that the bolts can be too long - going through the flexplate into the torque converter - and if so they can dent the housing causing some internal damage. Might be something to look at.
