Oh no way man! We need to get this done before it gets hot... Lemme ask my trans dude if he's got any 4l80 cores around.. Might be able to pull strings.

That would also mean changing driveshafts. Changing transfer case.

Unless the 4L60s are a 32 spline?

There's no reason a properly built/inspected 60 won't live up to your use. Not to mention that an improperly built/inspected 80 will do the same thing so that doesn't make much sense right now.

I'm with Hippie.

A well built 60 should do more then you need it to. Seems like more work than necessary. Although seeing you have already installed 2 toast 60's, I understand the want for change.

Get a non-toasted 4L60 (as in, an actual rebuild, not an old unit). Install. Live happily ever after. :deal:

Don't rip this truck apart needlessly. Again. :doah:

It's time to get it together and enjoy it.

There are probably enough people in this thread to sponsor you a @Greg Ducato transmission if you would accept it. We wanna see this thing running, and we want to see you at the dunes. :deal:

4L60 is still 27-spline, so he'd be stuck redoing/replacing the transfer case as well.

Talked to the trans guys, says he wants to look into it and take a look.
