You can do it! Ive been through this myself with the same trans!!

Took it to a place to get a new one intalled and it was so janky of an intall. Damn park was reverse and so on. Once I got it dialed the fuel pump went out 3 times, once on a steep ass hill. Knew every tow truck driver in the county. I finally got all the bugs worked out and about 3 months of good running the ceramic of the spark plug fell off inside the motor and pounded it into the valves/ head. Cool!

Youll get it. Hopefully its simple.

I got it, you left the parking brake on didn't you? :doah:

Lol I hope that makes you smile.

So in a previous post you said your tcase is pissing out the bottom because you clocked it? What do yoy mean by that?
Just Get under it and make sure the shift lever is all the way back (2HI).
You also said you had a lot of trouble with the trans shift linkage, make sure its in the right gear.

lol I dont have a parking brake anymore.... the silicone must have got smeared on the clocking ring and it isnt sealing. I suspect the tcase shifted or my bent trans shifter linkage blew up.

It's always a struggle for me to get the clocking ring sealed good. I kinda have a process now but it's still tricky.

This is exactly why I didn't clock mine. For the couple inches it just wasn't worth it

It really is kind of crazy. I really like this site cause some do some don't and no one gets really pissy about it.

I will eventually clock mine " because" the 2" or so is totally worth it lol

Gonna be interesting to see if it is a t case problem though a bang and no gears is odd

I would guess that the t case slipped especially if there were linkage issues. The bang could explain this.

I have a hard time believing he has had three bad trans. The odds of that just seem crazy. Heck two is bad enough. If this one is truly the trans then something else needs to be done. There is something going wrong during install or rebuild IMO.

I went to cable shifters as the linkages just seemed so problematic. It was still difficult to get a clean pull.

actually took a lunch break only to clean the floor...

tcase is in 2wd and the shifter works. idk guys but im giving up.

On what, the truck? Take a few days and collect your thoughts. If you still think you wanna give up on it, I'll give you $500 for it. If that looks like too small of an offer, then you're not ready to give up on it yet. If that somehow *is* enough money to pry it out of your hands, I'll be heading down there shortly. To console you, and tell you to get back to work. :deal:
