When the thread is 9000+ posts deep and your first post mentions a past thread with 4 years of ramblings, I'm sure I want to know a lot about this truck. (Idon't know anything about it.) Maybe post a brief summary of mods? IDK

Well the truck started out with a 305, 700r4 10 bolt combo, it has transformed into a 4x4 with a 30 SPLINE10 bolt front with ORD 4 link kit, I put a 04 6.0L backed by a 4l65e going into a 91NP241 to use the vss output.

I used a 05ish AAM rear axle out of a newer silverado in the rear. The truck is riding on metric 35's with the factory PYO silverado wheels.

That should give you a good idea about what is going on.

I know it sucks to do, but I indexed mine in the first post. I've found it incredibly useful not only to others but myself as well

I did TOC posts for several of my threads, but all the links broke during the software change.

Haven't felt like redoing them yet.
I was doing it in my build thread by date and post number but post numbers are no longer listed on the new site. No really sure how I should set it up now

Post numbers still exist (yours is number 9070). They disappear when on narrow screens, but they're still there.

Ok well this is dumb and has been making me mad, preparing for the road trip towing the boat I need proper working gauges.... My autometer tops out at 45 and doesn't move higher...

Well to get the autometer out was a huge pain in the ass, the intake manifold had a boss sticking off that after a qtr turn would catch. I had to cut the box end off a wrench to be able to turn it out. Once the adapter was out I took a flap disc and massaged it.

With the mechanical gauge on it idles at 45, and revs up to 70psi. Granted this is cold but I'm extremely happy, not bad for a autozone crate.

Looky at all those adapters

Whats the long term plan?

Well that's with the mechanical gauge to get the adapters to work. The autometer sender just threads into that block adapter.

Long term plan is to get the gauge to work... :haha:

You think the gauge is bad, or you have a problem w/ something plugged up?

Not sure, it idles right, just maxes out at 45. I have moved the grounds around, I might directly wire the gauge to the sender and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't I'll give autometer a call.

Also my coolant temp is reading 20 degrees cooler then the engine runs at.
