I will tell you Ben, that I have close to 30K miles on my 700R4 behind my big block.
I went that route because back when I built the truck, it would have been 4 times the money or more to go 4L80E.
So my point is, you shouldn't have to have the monster to hold up to what you have done with your truck.
I have a buddy who used one for drag racing a supercharged small block ,plus street driving for years.

You know what's funny, I said the same thing to my family.

Made it home, boat did great. Had a little small issues but no big deal.

Also we aren't gonna sleep much there. I got some orange paint, a certain tan suburban needs some special attention

Here is the weekend report, everything went great ended up leaving late on Saturday but we got it all done.

Was a emotional day but we started out with the wrong boat plug and no one had and replacement, ended up getting a smaller one and wrapping electrical tape around it and drive hammering it in. Not more then 3 mins on the lake and I caught my first one. I thought for sure we were not going to catch anything although we always did at this lake. We had a meal my uncle and dad always made when they went up, never brought anything but a small Colman stove.

Put a piece of sandwich breakdown, cover it with a hamburger patty, spread cheese over, cover with hormel chilli and crumble fritos cornchips. After we ate it started to rain because dad wanted the lake cleared. We started with my brothers first dog Lucy, then went on to our old lab smoke and finally my dad. It was very peaceful and after we were done a eagle flew over us. My dad loved eagles and my mom had a dream it would happen

Meh to, said the heck with the truck the boat is going for sure. Had some hiccups but we made it.
