You live in Phoenix freakin Arizona!!!! Go steal someone's trailer dang it!!! If you had a trailer I'm sure there's someone that would steal it from you! Can't beat em join em! Haha
I have a trans waiting for me in moab if I can find a trailer.

I'm showing up a day early and this trans is cheaper. Why not simply grab the local one and be done with it before you arrive? Is there some reason to driving all the way to Moab with a broken truck and then spending your trail time replacing the tranny? I think I'd rather show up with the working truck rather than a broken pile of parts.![]()
Think soIt has brakes?
Tow bar wouldn't be bad to build, but getting a brake setup would be something else. Not sure towing a fullsize 4x4 w/o brakes onboard would be good.
No the crazy thing will be when you still have it 5 years from now and it's running just fine.Yes, like I was telling @blazinzuk I almost wanted to trailer it down just to show the people who want to see it at the BBQ.
I woke up this morning and saw I still have time to get a used trans in...It's a crazy idea and probably dumb, will probably blow up on the trail but knowing my luck it would survive the entire weekend and blow up coming off the trailer.

My crew cab is running a 700r4 I bought for $150 in unknown condition, didn't even know for sure it worked. It was in my K5 for 6 years, and the crew cab since 2013.
And stop wasting money on "stronger" aftermarket parts.
