The 4l80e would obviously be the logical choice. I wonder if your ecm is partly to blame for this? Maybe the wiring is jumbled up somewhere or has an intermittent fault?

The ECM and the wiring harness are two of the few relevant items that haven't been changed out yet. I know he says they've tested as good, but I'd be looking for possible common links between the failures like @miniwally said.

Yes all we tested good and I can't duplicate.

Steve, I was just saying what my ecm could control and it would be the easiest 6speed swap I believe.
 
Moved the truck over in the garage, I'll pull the pan soon.

Thermostat in the tahoe was changed with factory thermostat and housing all good now. I think it had a aftermarket pump and tstat.
 
Plan is to yank the trans and bring it with my next weekend to the race. I'll also be co driving a class1 car running in the sportsman class. :woot:

But going to be hard with the garage like this!!
