After all the stuff you've done yourself, you're going to farm out the pinion bearings?
I don't have the proper torque wrench to do it, and frankly I want it done correctly. I know I could do it and hopefully get good results this time around but I have a few trips im planning on taking this and want it right the first time.
I have one but it is a 1/4 inch lbs Wouldn't be very accurate with 2 adapters and a 1.5inch socket on it.
I guess my phone call on Monday will determine if I do it myself or seek some help from others.

That's how everyone does it, as far as I know. I always have, I bet I'm pushing 50 diffs now with no issues that I know of. The torque involved is so low I don't think the deflection in the adapters is a big deal.

I thought my impact was awesome till I tried torquing my 10.5in pinion. No chance in hell an impact will do it. I ended up needing a 4ft 3/4 drive extendo ratchet and it was still difficult.

Something always comes loose when I use my 4ft pipe. LOL It might not be what I want...but something breaks loose.
I did the crush sleeve on my 9.5 14b last summer with a Matco impact....
But I didn't trust myself when it got close, so I went to the expendable 3/4" drive ratchet. That slowed me down!

So luck might be on my side for once the rear u joint is moving inside the caps....
You get the U joint replaced?
New Spicer joint is on my desk. Might do it tonight.

Yaa, have to unload stuff out of the bed. Had a bunch of stuff to do yesterday and still drove it 86 miles... that's tempting faith.
Yes indeed, it should have grenaded and went right through the trans.
