Really? Wow. I'm not even surprised anymore.

When are you just going to give up on automatic transmissions?
Haha never, I like the auto and the quickness of the shift, it still works just needs a couple seals.

MAW four link the rear while your at it,:waytogo::waytogo::waytogo:

Probably not in the cards at the moment, but a short course 4 link might be the ticket in the future...

I am guessing he wouldn't fair any better luck with a manual
Anvil smasher

What the truck really needs is a built 4L80E or possibly a newer 6 speed. But the low 1st of a 4L60E makes for fun stop light launches. :burnout: Along with the NP241 the crawl ratio isn't to bad either. It works well when it works...

6L80 would be sweet though
I would have to change a bit up to make it work on a Gen 3 but really wouldn't be that bad at all. The biggest thing is new harness and a ecm, I want to eventually replace the engine harness anyway it's just depending on if the gen4 ecm can control the 4l60e for awhile until I swap to the 6l80e

Gen IV had 4L60s through most of their run. Shouldn't be a problem.

Haven't had much time to work on the truck.. Family issues and I went out of town for new years and sprained my ankle, looking to get back on this pretty soon.

Once I get the truck back on the road I want to start modifying the suspension a little, I want the truck lower but I don't want to give up travel numbers. Right now the truck sits at a 48/52 split of bump and droop. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how I can drop the center of gravity a inch or two and still retain the same numbers.

I thought I could just move the mounting location on the axle tube bracket down but I guess that doesn't work..

If I get time today I would like to give ORD a call and see what they have to say. I want the low slung look and still have my 14 inches of travel...

I currently have the engine spaced up higher then factory by I believe 1.5 inches and the steering is maybe a 1/4 inch below the crank pulley.

Yeah, I'll have to dig into Brent's build. I think my biggest limiting factor is the goofy frames these trucks have.
