Get a utv to race.
That's kinda what I was thinking. You take it racing, crash it into a million pieces, there goes all that work that connects you to your pa.Don’t ruin your heirloom truck by beating it into a race truck.
You 100% will end up regretting it. Save the money of the suspension rebuild an get another 4l60 so you have one on the shelf ready to go
This^^^^!Don’t ruin your heirloom truck by beating it into a race truck.

This is good advice, and one I am following, too.there goes all that work that connects you to your pa.
Crazy how that ends up happening.Man, I sound like my dad.
He needs the long bed to carry all the extra 4L60 trannys he'll burn up when he races.I don't know shit about desert racing, but a regular cab long bed doesn't even come close to what I think of when I think "desert racing"

Very much true, now that I know I can depend on it I'm going to take it out. I just need to reseal a few things and go for it. I honestly for awhile didn't have the money to drive or fix it and only could do one trip. I need to get out and meet new people. That is your fault that it only gets wheeled once a year. You live in wheeling mecca. Get it out in the dirt and enjoy it. Go camp out of it. Make some plans and use it.
Man, I sound like my dad.
This year it's class 8.. then next year it something alittle faster... More competitive... It's a rabbit hole man... That what we are telling you....No golf cart race car here.
Not to sound mean or anything but you guys know what a class 8 truck is right? I know of a few that does.
