I thought that the trick was to put a 2x4 or 4x4 across the top, between the eyes, and run a strap down around the spring, close to the center to help flatten them.
:dunno:
Yup, heard that too...

If I would have thought about it and didn't have to leave town for work so fast I would have flipped the springs unside down and set the truck down with the axle on them for a few weeks.

I did that before

I really want a new dash pad in this truck and tie the interior together. Anybody have a preference on where to get one? Hoping for a weekend sale to come up or I will buy it at the local guy this weekend.

I have the usa1 replacement dash and it looks perfect but there was some trimming to get it to fit right

Ended up buying one today at a local guy who sells parts. Wasn’t cheap but the interior is about the last thing to do on this truck.

Then what do I do?

Vintage air will probably be fine for this truck. I would look into the brand that @ktmoutfront just bought.
I didn't like several things about the Vintage air system that I had in my '70, so I took it out and went to modified factory system, with an orifice tube like these trucks would have.
The blower noise is so much quieter with it. The other factors, Ben possibly wouldn't have a problem with.
