Sold the dmax engine, only lost $50.
I’ve never watched pricing on these, is that a fair price?
The biggest thing is I’m not sure how to control the boost, I don’t want it to go over 5lbs.When using gasoline I think its totally worth the extra expense to add an intercooler. At 5 lbs it's not necessary but its going to add power at all boost levels if done correctly.
What questions do you have?
With a supercharger it's simple, it's the pulley ratio. The faster you drive it the more power it will make up to the limit of the supercharger. Too fast and the air will get real hot and it just won't make more power. Every supercharger will have an efficiency curve and how much airflow it will supply and at what rotor RPM, etc. I have a supercharger calculator in my app, but its based on the efficiency chart of the supercharger. However, it won't be exact as you won't know the exact VE of your engine. It doesn't calculate boost pressure, you enter a target boost pressure and calculates pressure ratio, mass airflow, and estimated power for that combo. Thats the simplified version, in advanced menu you can change the air temperatures and elevation, etc.The biggest thing is I’m not sure how to control the boost, I don’t want it to go over 5lbs.

That makes sense, do you think my combo would work and benefit with 5lbs?With a supercharger it's simple, it's the pulley ratio. Your suspension won’t be able to keep upThat makes sense, do you think my combo would work and benefit with 5lbs?

It already has some on the rear! And the front wouldn’t be to hard to put some on…You make it any faster and you’re gonna be shopping for triple bypass shiny things!
Low budget bypasses haha. I knew you were talking about those.
Well right now you are basically working with 1 atmosphere, which is 14.7 lbs. You add 5 lbs and its 19.7/14.7 =~ 34% more power. But that's assuming no heat loss, you need a good intercooler. Without an intercooler you can probably cut that nearly in half. That makes sense, do you think my combo would work and benefit with 5lbs?
I really like his videosLow budget bypasses haha. I knew you were talking about those.
Interesting video to watch on the gt500 supercharger
I was hoping to not have to gap the rings yet. Camshaft would get swapped eventually. I was looking at a Holley low ram intake and using that for the manifold.Well right now you are basically working with 1 atmosphere, which is 14.7 lbs. Also, if you do it I would change the camshaft, your rattler cam will be wasting a lot of boost out the exhaust pipe with that tight LSA.
Also, I would shoot for 10 psi intercooled, that's still pretty safe.
