If you got it….Use it!
It’s got more power then it ever has, it likes 40 degrees of timing, @folkenheath hit the tune pretty good off the rip but I have done zero data logging and have not looked at the closed loop comp. :haha: By the seat of the pants it runs good, has a bit of an exhaust leak on the passenger bank the o2 doesn’t like idle… I’m hoping I don’t have to get one tomorrow but don’t care I’ll run it anyway…

Allright! :burnout:

It shouldn't have much lope at idle with that cam, f it does it's probably not fueling correctly, which if you have an exhaust like on the same side as the 02 it will probably think its lean when it's not, and add fuel it doesn't want, yet it will still read lean, so that may get worse until it's corrected. At high load it likely won't matter much. If it gets worse, just go delete the learn table at low RPM and it will fix it temporarily until you get the leak fixed.

Also, I only used 40 degrees at cruise with low load, not WOT, then it's only 28, it might like more but 28 is usually a safe number for an LS.

Glad it's running good to have fun!

It’s mad at the moment, wicked exhaust leak. I was under it last night, o2 is tight, exhaust flange is tight and the header gasket is tight. Brent is brining me a plug socket. It’s the only thing I didn’t check.

Delete the learn table at low RPM, and maybe turn off the learning at low rpm until you get it fixed. Or just fix it.

Just did the bow tie, I kinda like it. Can’t find and aftermarket one to fit the lmc grill.

Hey man,

Saw your updates on Instagram, somehow i missed this build. Looks killer.

I'm putting my 91 back together after paint, and bought a cheap grill that didn't come with bowtie. Should have just bought the full kit one :doah:

My aftermarket one doesn't look like the same recess as the factory one. And the 91 factory style bowtie is like $100.

So i'm dealing with the same issue. Did you just paint the center of it? Or did you get one to fit?

We'll see if i can get my old one off the grill and stuck on somehow....

Thanks!

I wrapped it with the same as the body. I bought one but it didn’t fit the pre drilled holes.

Thanks, it has come a long way.

Got to drive the truck a bit, even though I shouldn't with the o2 going all over the place. The trans cooler doesn't like being under the bed, it is building way to much heat, I saw 250 on the gauge. :surepal:

I think the distance is the problem assuming you don't have a small pump helping circulation and it being low, gravity is not helping.
Heat likes to go up, so if you have it higher than the transmission that alone promotes circulation

Same distance before, it's level with the trans. I think it's just not getting enough air passed it, I need to hook the fan up and take it for a drive.

You definitely want the fan hooked up if it doesn't have the engine airflow like in front. You could hook the fan up to a relay and trigger it with the ECU, so it only turns on once above a certain trans temp. Also, make sure there is enough space for the air to get through the other side of the trans cooler.

Yeah without the fan, that's not gonna work under there

It's got a few inches between the bed floor and fins but it's tight being the fan is so large.

I have a fan on mine, no way is it going to keep your trans cool without one unless it's in the airflow in front of the radiator. I use trans line temp to trigger mine and I never see temps over 150 in the pan.
