1983 K5 trail truck/dd/ R.I.P. 03/14/18

Dude. Didn't even realize you had a build thread. Not enough time in the driveway I guess.

To catch up, here it goes.
Rubicon next May- let's make it happen

Family rig to satisfy the wife- you'll be joining the "Sub Culture" once she sees mine

Kid looks cute as all get out hanging with dad

16.5 in the sand is no problem- air down to 12psi. Next time you dismount for some reason. Weld in safety beads than remount. They'll be just fine to drive back to town from horsefall staging

The OD green and soft top looks awesome.

Dana 60- I thought you said its out of a dodge? Looks Chevy in the pic. Is it long on the passenger side?

With those narrow tires, you should use a set of stock GM steel wheels (Not Ford or Dodge). They have a safety bead, unlike aftermarket wheels, and you will experience less problems with losing beads.

we can try to make the con happen but no garantee transfer season is frustrating.
as best as I can tell the 60 is out of an early 70s dodge, it has external slugs I need to convert over.

not to many updates.. I got some external hubs off eBay for driving around, the vibes were killer with the slugs.
I picked up an 05 Tahoe 3rd row seat for a hundred bucks off craigslist, the bracket set for that should be here this week.

they are dualmatic branded. I think they are the same as selectro. should work for driving it lol. I don't think they would handle real offload abuse tho

What are these brackets you speak of? Are they custom or does someone sell them? Thanks for any info!

Those are some comfy looking seats for sure. Are they going to fit in between the wheel wells, or what?
