Went to a local mudbogg and had some things happen, 1st pass of the day i broke a stock 60 lock out hub...so i played anyway and it drug the tire like a ski. So i called a local autopart store and they delivered some warn premiums, wow those arent cheap... i took them back and popped one in on the side that was broke. I made 3 more passes and it ran awesome until she stuck in 3rd gear and wouldnt come out. I drove it ten miles in 3rd and the last 2 it made lots of noises and stopped. The clutch exploded, i had to call a rollback.

heres a video of the pass the hub broke, some pics and the awesome clutch........

dayumm thats a badarse video that motor sounded sweet!! is there any updates on it

Sorry no updates, I changed the mufflers to super 44s and shortened the tips.....it just sits in the corner in storage. It will be getting surgery when i find the time, prob next year. Lots going on with overtime at work and the holidays. After the guages all i did was drive it and park it which sux..... I will be if it all works out changing the front springs to longer ones, ford shock towers, 35 spline stubs and hubs in the 60 and a set of diff covers.

Thinking about going bigger with my truck if I don't sell it. How much lift is on that total??

Ah, OK. I personally don't like b/l, hoping with 6-8" and with the cutouts would be able to fit some 40 boggers.

I have 8 inch front superlift springs with the bodylift and cutouts and it rubs when flexed with 39.5s....

Is the axle in stock location? I rub with 6" lift with 315s, not even trying hard. Rides good tho..:)

The axle was in the stock location, now its moved forward an inch. At full flex it rubs with 39s but not as bad as before.

As seen by itself, just added to my build...

Sorry to post it again, just wanted to add it here....

I bought a set of 53 inch alcans from the classifieds with shackles , new shackle mounts and poly bushings. I had to move the front spring shackle mount rearward to achieve the right shackle angle.

... Removed the 2yr old superlifts, torched the shackle mount rivet heads

... I drilled all new holes for the shackle mount and its too far back, my big mistake but live and learn. ( 10 degree shackle angle way too steep also gave too much lift)

...Tore it all apart, I plated the frame with 1/4 plate and welded it all in to cover up all the holes also to add strength , redrilled the holes between the two and moved it up some to get the shackle higher in the rail.

... reinstalled the springs and shackle mounts with grade 8 9/16 cat bolts, the new angle achieved is 34 degrees with just enuff room when at full flex the spring eye is an inch from the rail.

... I had to install diy4x 10 degree shims on the axle to get the pinion up to where it needs to be. With new center pins and u-bolts.

...The shackle used are 7.25 eye to eye, 3/8 thick plate, also used 1/2 inch thick diy4x washers to make up the spring width differance, welded em to the shackle

.. I needed new longer shocks and brakelines, i purchased 24 inch russel lines and nitro skyjackers wih just a little over 12 inches of travel, Will be getting better shocks when the whole swaps done.

.. Driveshaft was 4 inches too short so i ordered a new one from tattons that should be here this week, 1350 with 12 inches of slip.

... Heres a few pics first pic is the shackle at ride heigth, 2nd full droop without the tire and the 3rd is shackle angle at full droop. I will have more pics of it flexed and ride heigth with tires on...

For how many times it will see situations that id need to cut more its not worth cutting more to me. I dont mind cutting, just dont have to. The heigth is for wheeling but for mud holes and mud boggs too. The body is in good shape as of now, fenders, doors, rockers and floors are only a few years old.. Really i was just saying even with that much lift you still have to cut so it doesnt rub.

Ordered new virginia 4x4 steering arm with studs, also purchased 4 new rancho 9000 9 way adjustable shocks. All four corners will have the same shock size. Should get me 8inches down and 6inches up travel...14 inches total. Parts will be here this week and on by the weekend if it all works out.

(1st pic)
Here are the mounts that will be welded to the top of the frame rail with a plate inside the frame for strength, used the rear studs all the way around threaded into half inch steel cut out with a plasma. Front mounts have the hole 2 inches from the bottom and the rears have 1.25 from the bottom, they fit perfectly with the body lift, then i also dont have to cut the inner fenders or the bed to put them on.

(2nd pic)
1350 shaft with 12 inches of slip with yoke from tattons, changed boot to red tho...lol. The shaft runs at a 20 degree constant and can run up to 35, at full droop i get right around 32-33 degrees so it should do the job.

.....Slowly coming togeather.....
