1986 GMC K20, aka the old ladies shitbox

New alternator installed, the 108A was a 17SI so I had to return it for the stock 78A 12SI.

If you ever have problems with the AC Delco glow plugs I suggest you try the Bosch, they are selling limiting so they shouldn't swell, but even if they woul, the tip is tapered so it would still come out, and the best part is they work fine with my stock controller.
Have been flawless for 3 years.

And if anyone is looking at how to make these LED headlights work, the come with the H4 bulb wiring and require adapters that are provided. However, I don't like having the adapters, so I chose to repin the connector on the LED bulbs instead.

The lower high beam only requires pulling the low beam wire and taping it back, aligning the black wires and plugging in.

The upper light requires rotating the connector so that the black ground wire ends up in the opposite side, yellow low beam straight across from the ground, and red high beam on the top center.

Tonight's project. Replicating a new cupholder design someone is selling as a 3D print.

However, after making the first model, I realized it was slightly too long for my 3D printer. So I redesigned it to be modular and print in pieces. This will fit the same space and replace the map pocket, but have dowel pins holding the two halves together. The same two parts make the right and left hand versions by swapping cup holder to the other end as well. And since I am making my own custom parts, I also added the model info for the truck. It is an 8 hour print, so it will be morning before I know how it turns out though.

Gonna swap it to a mechanical pump and throw it in? I picked up a '92 mechanical turbo'd 6.5 many many years ago to build for my blazer. Haven't touched it yet though.

This motor does not turn over, so the main plan is for donating externals. But I will open it up and see what the problem is as well.

Does the turbo still spin freely? Double check no debris got exhausted into it....

I suspect it would be seized like the engine from sitting.
I had to free mine after sitting for 8 years.
Lots of wd40 for days and then gently working it loose, and continuing to spray wd40 into the oil feed and finally using the blower to spin it.
It runs great now

The turbo still spins free. No end play but slight up/down play. I will probably go through it before use just to be sure or replace it if needed.
