1986 M1008 Rebuild

Looks good any future plans for it

How did it wheel

How did you break anything with that skid plate on it

I'll post some pictures up of my t-case mounts. I think that's the problem, although they are really sweet I really need some support in the middle.

The plan is to continue beating the snot out of it for at least a couple years or until the front falls off:D Then build a front to go with the rear.

It did very well, it's actually a completly different truck now.:woot:

Some spec.
110.00 wheel base
Doubler with both outputs at 32 spline
front dig:D
cutter brakes:D:D
Art carr
an extra big drivers seat for me:D
rear disc brakes
rear 4 link
14" fox air shocks soon to be coil overs
fancy harness
rear cab and chassis hubs for a 63.0 wms
That all I can think of for now.

This was done in 4 weeks:eek1:
I'll put some pictures up of my t-case mounts in a bit.

I did it in with my BB but I was changing the crossmember too, you have a diesel I would think you can too. Just do one side at a time unbolt it and jack it up.

Just bought these used for 200.00 delivered:D 2.0 12" fox air shocks for the front:waytogo:I already have some upper link material & well just have to see how long it takes to scrounge up the rest of the materials needed (read vortec 5.3 here) for my front.

Well I sold the 12" fox shocks and bought a diy4x performance poly engine motor mount kit and I got a new th400 case from blazinzuk(thanks Eric). I hope to be back on the trail soon:waytogo:
Oh yeah I plan on putting my rear 14" fox shocks up front and getting some 16" coilovers with a remote reservoir for the rear soon.:D

Well I'm gonna have to completely rework my shock mounts to fit these coil overs on. It'll have to wait though since there's more important things to do first.

You can see the right side is the new 16" c/o sitting at full bump at pretty much ride height or within an inch or so. Think I'll cut everything out and come off that top bar. I'm looking for about 6" of up travel.

It seems that I can't stop buying stuff:eek1:

Bought this for 2400.00 with a new tranny plus a spare rebuilt tranny and new tires. Plan on using the th475 and the cummins in the buggy, selling the tires and wheels to help recover some funds and using the van for storage at my machine shop.
