1987 K5 Rebuild- narrow and dovetail the body-Painted

I feel you on the new kid. I've got a six month old. My three year old is starting to ask to go rock crawling and helps in the garage a little. Always exciting to see a little of the outside world for the first year even if it's just rock rings.

ha....its been a while since I've touched this truck. I guess a kid does that. He is almost 2 in a month so what better time than to take a jump back into the k5.

I sold my pitbulls and jumped on some 40inch nittos. I am being realistic with the fact I will not be buying a trailer. And most likely doing mellow wheeling and cruising with my little guy on back roads etc. So a more tame but great tire on steelies is in order.

Naturally fedex only sent 3 today...the other is still in the warehouse at FedEx.

I got my tires mounted on the wheels, not balanced yet but also have been doing tube work to finally finish up the front end of this thing.

Man do these new tires really put a fire under my ass to get it rolling again.

I cant wait to get this going. I will have to do more modifications to the grill/radiator support to fit over the tubes but it should work out nicely to look "stock" even though its narrowed.
