After moving the burb out of the shop after brakes, it didn't want to start to move back into the shop. I put off working on it for a while but got it pushed back into the shop this week. First on the list was to remove the running boards.
Quick troubleshooting showed it was not getting gas, but would start on starting fluid. The PO claimed the fuel pump was replaced recently, so that was where I started and found signs of shoddy work like lose pressure fitting at the tank, lose hose clamp on filler hoses, lose tank straps, etc. So the tank came back out. I'll replace the entire sending unit and pump assembly. Just waiting on parts now.
New fuel pump sender assembly installed and it is running much better again. I was able to run to the dead end down the road and back with only minor hesitation when accelerating up a big hill. It desperately needs an alignment.
It was running great on short test drives with a mild stumble. Ran good for most of the first 15 miles to the alignment shop then stalled at the first stop light. The battery was too weak to restart so a friend pulled me to the nearest parking lot and then gave me a ride to the battery store. With a new battery, it started right up and ran good for a minute (video), then started stumbling hard trying to drive home until it died and wouldn't run any longer. Seems to be better cold, then run poor after warming up to me. I'll test that theory after it cold down waiting on a friend grabbing my trailer.
