Up for sale is a 1989 Fullsize Blazer. in good condition. I bought this Blazer from a friend roughly 5 years ago and have loved it, but I have reached a point where I need something with better fuel economy and easier to make my A to B trips. Here are most of the options:
Drivetrain:
Drivetrain:
- 350 TBI engine that is stock.
- NV4500 transmission that works great. I took a lot of pride installing this into the Blazer. I even work the factory transfer case shifter in place with the boot.
- NP241 transfer case with cable driven speedo.
- Stock axles front & rear. Gear ratio is 3.73 open, open.
- 4" Tuff Country leaf springs up front, ORD shackle-flip in the rear with 2" blocks to level out. Rides great to be what it is.
- ORD Sway bar disconnects.
- Blazen Offroad front bumper with 2- Warn 100W stainless steel lights.
- Custom built rear bumper with spare tire carrier & Jerry can holder. Also includes 2 LED backup lights.
- Warn 8274 that works great with synthetic rope (12 years old) that is showing a lot of wear with an aluminum Warn Fair-lead.
- 5-35" Mickey Thompson MTZ's mounted on 5 MT Classic 3's. 2 front tire have great tread left, 2 rear tires are okay tread, the spare is worn out.
- Radiator installed a couple months ago.
- New power steering pump.
- New water pump a few months ago.
- Just did brakes on the rear and got the E-brake working.
- New fan clutch.
- Installed a new floor pan on the driver side due to rust. It was professionally cut out, and welded in place.
- Transfer case leaks a little, looks to me like it is just the rear output shaft seal.
- Faint noise coming from the transmission, I think it just may be the pilot bushing instead of bearing. All gears shift very smoothly like it was factory.
- Clear coat is peeling off the hood and roof.
- No A/C, has a leak but work last time it was charged.
- NO RUST!
- Fun to drive and runs great.
- Good heat.
- Just serviced and ready to go!
