1989 K5 Blazer

Yeah, I tried to jump on it, but I was too late. Now it will sit on a shelf for eternity.

Just found this.. didn't know exactly what your setup was until now but it seemed to do pretty well the other day! I envy the super deep 1st that you have with the 700r4. Much deeper than my TH400.

Very true! Idk how guys crawl with a clutch.. John (and everybody else) says it's not that big of a deal and that you get used to it... Seems like crazy talk!

I don't know how boys call themselves men with an automatic....

haha

Yeah, I just loathe automatics. With a hand throttle installed they are very easy to control.

It has nothing on an SM465.......

This!

I wouldn't trade my 465 for any auto. Yeah it's easier to wheel an auto, but the 4 speed is too much fun to not have and it really isin't bad to wheel with once you get used to it.

I love my 465.
I did have to get used to it seeig as it was my first manual transmission truck that i e wheeled but i did get use to it and now i wouldnt have it any other way.

Maybe I'll get it put on tonight

Also picked up a new tow rig that someday in the future id like to SAS and replace the blazer with

Nice find, what are the specs on that truck? How many miles. I have a 98 just like that a couple years ago.:waytogo:

That would be an excellent Blazer replacement. I run that motor in my Suburban and its a good motor. And very easy to upgrade and makes good power. I ditched the MPFI in favor of TBI for simplicities sake. Only thing Im not a fan of on them is the non adjustable valvetrain. But its an easy swap, and a cam in those makes a world of difference.

It won't replace the blazer anytime soon. It's my daily driver and also is going to be a nice tow rig. Very happy with that truck

Back to the blazer....

I got the door put on after some convincing to line it up.

Plan on dropping tank and finishing the mounting on the bumper and get some paint on it finally

Washes it for the first time with new door and fenders. Truck cleans up fairly well. Ill have get some pretty pictures taken here soon before I add more damage
