Hah, I already have one fire gutted Blazer, I don't think another is strictly necessary.

Pulled the side trim panel off; the topper bolt capture nut tore loose.
 
Transmission decisions: I have decided that I will run the 4L60E.
I have the -entire- drivetrain; I know it works; why mess with it? Instead lets just make it four wheel drive.

Picked up an adapter from work, and the tail shaft should arrive in a few days.

Now, the PCM will of course need a VSS. So that will need sorted; shouldn't be difficult.

Since getting the truck from Kansas to my garage will realistically be at least three weeks out I decided to bring up a set of fenders I plan on using and spend some of the interim time getting them ready.

Going with the round eye front clip? I like them both. The fenders do look solid at least.
 
I am going with the round eyes. Always preferred them just a bit to the others. I had picked up the Suburban to keep the '88 - '91 front clip, but have obviously changed my mind.

Those fenders are pretty clean. The driver side has the obligatory wind-caught-door-super-hard crease that I need to address.

I haven't decided if I want to go '73 - '74 GMC or Chevrolet for the grille.
 
Picked up another K5 last night that was just too good of a deal to pass up.

The kind of deal where you aren't certian you will be friends with the seller anymore.

Would you happen to be willing to get rid of the left rear seat belt (male end on floor) for a K5? I can not find any local.

Is that where it came from? I'm surprised I never saw it before. I've seen the locals do the lo-lo thing to many odd makes here, including a 4x4 Suzuki Samurai. Just not a K5.

I hope you did tear him a new one on the price. Anybody that does that to a K5 has that coming!

Dopes. If that one is solid it might be worth flipping. I know Larry is loosely on the hunt another K5 to build into a beater. He'd prefer a base model truck like mine but if it's solid and cheap we can make it a base model pretty easy. He is one hell of a craigslist hound so I'm kinda surprised he didn't find this one.
