Some doofus was building something in over his head and didn't think about sanding the ID of the tube and smashed the bungs in with a hammer. in the 10 years they have been on it's never came loose... A cross thread is a tight thread right? :haha:

Sounds like it would be that easy with new johnny joints. :waytogo:

I wouldn't stress too much. If it comes out just inspect the threads. If not new joints. If you've never touched the joints in that whole time they need a rebuild anyways. Also sometimes a triangular file can get any real bad thread areas if you don't have a die for the threads.

The 2.5" OD 7075 solid aluminum links take some punishment. They are the only ones I haven't smoked. With that said they can still take a plastic bend, but it's usually not too bad. My fronts are 2" solid 7075 and both of those have slight bends in them. The 2.5 on my rears are good and I've hit them way harder.

It's alot about luck too When @rderosier trashed his other link, he was on a waterfall, and off-camber, so the entire weight of the truck hit that link. You may go forever and never hit an obstacle that gives the same hit.

Fuel cell is all done and wired. Not entirely sure if ill do a filler, not really a good place for it unless I weld some bars off the roll bar which could always be an option.

Been working on clocking the magnum up as high as I can, it's in a place I like but the front drive shaft hits the headers so I think it's finally time to ditch the long tubes. Too loud and hot anyways. Not a great view but shows the clocking

ORD mechanical shifters. Actually got them in yesterday, they feel really good, detents need firmed a little more. Cable shifters were fine just never really liked the feel, always feel like if I had to force it into place a cable would break. Mechanical just feels way better and reliable to me.
