Seats are in! PRP Enduro’s, 2” extra tall, seat heaters, and the optional italia stitch.

Worked a bit on my plan to get the seat mounts integrated into the cage. The tabs used by the previous owner are a little bit off and need to be reworked. I’m thinking get the cage in and fine tune the seat positioning then. I’m using PRP’s sliders to try and make the access to the back seat a bit easier. Still going to be a pain with the jungle gym but every little bit helps right?

Also, cage is coated in Steel-It. I love the stuff. Strong finish and is designed to be able to weld through it.

I saw that cluster on the board. Good buy.
I would throw the passenger seat in while it's easy to do. Definitely sit in your driver seat and fine tune where you want it. Also account for when your tail lights are touching the ground you sink into your seat quite a bit. Make sure you can reach the pedals in that situation.

I found these sweet seat brackets online. The holes drilled on top are for the optional seat sliders. The back needs to be cut down a bit but it’s a great starting point

Cage will start going in on Monday! With healing from surgery i decided to have a professional set the cage and weld it in. Safety is money well spent in my book

Are those brackets boxed or just a 90 bend in it?

Dropped her off today to have the cage finished getting installed. Can’t wait to get it back

The guy i found to put the cage in got busy and wasn’t able to finish it. He put in the tie-in to the sliders and built that rear crossmember.

I’ve been slammed with house projects and haven’t put much time into the K5 but was able to convince a buddy to come over on Christmas Eve to help me finish the layout and tack weld to the frame tie in points. Another day of finish welding and we should be ready to hit the trails.

I drove the old girl into work last week and when I came out to leave I discovered the seal around the e-brake mechanism blew out. It completely drained the rear reservoir .
