1990 Silverado Regular Cab - Lift Questions - NEWBIE to Chevy IFS

This still hasn't been answered. Why do you want to run 20" rims on a 1990 truck? You also haven't talked about what wheels you have and the offset.

Sure, you would lose something selling them, but a brand new set of tires is usually easy to sell. I can't see basing your whole build around something that's going to wear out anyway. It's been fairly well established you can fit 33's on these trucks, but you need to know what backspacing to use.

Is there really any problem with a RC body lift? It's spacers and bolts. I just wasn't sure if you have experience with 90's IFS body lift kits from RC or some of their other products.
I has 20" rims from a GMC Dinali. Factory offsets...no issues with the rims sticking out past the wheel wells.

Not planning an IFS Lift, going with body lift. I'll trim the bumper if required. I'm looking into the soil axle swap with a Ford Dana 44. Probably next year. I'll start collecting the parts for that now though

Can you not just trim your fenders some to make them fit? A 33" tire on a positive offset factory wheel shouldn't create too much of a clearance issue. Totally understand if you don't want to trim, but if you are going to SAS at some point and put even bigger tires on you are more than likely going to need to trim anyway.

I was going to tell you Performance Accessories used to make the 2" body lift, but it looks like Daystar bought them sometime in the past 20 years since I had looked. Funny the 2" kit is more expensive than the 3" kit.

I remember when Performance Accessories used to make a 1", 2" and 3" inch kit for just about everything

Definitely not going with larger tires. I'm gonna swap out the body mounts first and see what shape they are in.

I'll then slide in the 3" Mounts. Poly isn't hard to cut and if it's too much I'll cut off 1/2 or 1"

I love creating havoc in my life so cutting body mounts should be right up my alley.

I agree with @Blue85 , your wheels must stick out too much.
I put 35" tires on my suburban gmt400 and all I had to do in the front is cut the lower half of the plastic fender fang.
The back cleared no problem.
I did get lucky with the wheels because when I bought them I didn't even think about the offset
