Next is I want to put a 60f in here but dang that’s been tough all around. Been chasing a 79 ford 60 since January and it’s just time I do it myself.

Found a 91 ford 60 in the junkyard of all places so I’ll be using that to build an axle for the suburban. Ordered 79 shafts for a fantastic price from bronco graveyard and then some NOS gm knuckles and misc new stuff from hillbilly wizard.
I need to trade my 4 series Detroit for a lock rite and then I’ll be set.

always wanted to build a axle my self atleast 1 time this level .

one of my c3500HD trucks needs to be 4wd but i do not want 5.13 gears . only way to get 4.63 is make a front from a extra dana 80 rear and parts .

Weldered up the 91 axle to 79 specs. Used the lathe and pressed in the tube sleeves with rather fair success. Set the gears up last week and I think I should get this blasted. It’s so soaked in oil, nothing is gonna stick unless I really do something like that.
I built in 6 degrees caster into the housing so that should drive really nice this time lol

Maybe i missed it, you going to run driver drop 241?

For some reason i assumed you were going to make it 79 spec but pass drop

The intention is to run a driver drop 241c so that later on I can put a 29 spline input into it and use behind the g56 when the cummins swap happens.
Guess you’ve got a blueprint, why not execute it in a burb! Then you def need a clean k5 once this is done. Just saying. You only live once.
