Hit the unlock button a few times from the drivers side. See if it opens.
Mine always does that....Try using the key, and before turning it back push on the button some for the resistance. Move the key to the position where you can pull it out, mantaining pressure on the button, and see if that will get it to open.
If that makes any sense.
Works on mine. I haven't tried a more permanent fix yet....
Surprised I missed that the first time.. doesn't matter, I'm exempt from DEQ at least. Guess it would explain why it is fairly loud. From the y pipe back is all new exhaust, 3" to what looks and sounds like a Flowmaster(with 3" in and 3" out).
According to the PO he hasn't filled it up since October.11 mpg sounds right. Soooooooo many claim 16-18. All L*ars... My 6.2 TH400 4.10's gets 11-14mpg. With 700 got 18.2 in California. Havn't used it here. Waiting for spring thaw...

just curious if you have anything else to do then make videos for youtube?
haha jk. i like the 84 4x4, thats a nice ride. (the banks turbo one.)
I've been going through the exact issue on my '91 burb. There's a plate that slides up and down, and it's stuck in the down position. It needs to slide back up before the door latch button can push on the plate, and release the latch. Right now, your button isn't pushing anything at all. I took the panel off mine that last time I got it open, so I can manually operate it from inside, in case it gets stuck again.OKay, now here's a dumb problem..
I went to open the barn doors to take a look at the spare and rear seat.. and they won't open. They worked earlier todayDoors are unlocked.. but when I go to push the button on the latch there is little resistance(Don't feel it unlatching) and the key doesn't seem to help with anything

For what little traction it had, it made up for it in brute force. In places where I know my Ranger wouldn't have made it(and it's got better tires) the Burb charged right on through

it seems they all are on these old models. i put bolts through the holes with some rtv to prevent rust forming there. i also took the rear support (the aluminum piece and put them behind the wheels for mud flaps. had to drill a little bit.I took it up in the snow last night around Larch Mountain with a friend.. we had a blast. For what little traction it had, it made up for it in brute force. Todays project will be fixing the door and taking the running boards off. Unfortunately these ones are screwed into the bottom edge of the rocker panels![]()
