And that’s with a limited GVWR that effects comparison numbers.Seems like they’re only rated for about 500 ftlbs
Those things belong in them Jeeps.

I didn’t think of your V-3500 being a 90/91 and related speedometer. The DHD is definitely the better of the two from dodge but I’d lose the gm speed signal.
I should be able to put a gm tone ring and output housing on a dodge back case half and call it a day.
just gotta sell all my chit and buy one.
Im guessing you cant get those to use a 32 spline input can you? I see plenty of dhd 241’s for fairly cheap, but last i looked i didnt think a 32 spline was possible. (Thinking for my application)The DHD is definitely the better of the two from dodge but I’d lose the gm speed signal.

Yeah lightweight racersI don't think an Atlas is as weak as you guys are making them out to be. Plenty of them in Ultra4 racers and KOH racers and east coast bouncers.
Agreed, although those KOH rigs are extremely powerful they are also extremely light weight.Yeah lightweight racers
It might be possible to source an input from other NVG cases with the same 2.72:1 reduction gear set - the angle/pitch of the teeth changed at some point from older to newer models so that’s something to be aware of but finding out if the 241’s, 261’s and 271’s ( and all the electronic shift variations ) are input swap compatible might get you a GM 32-splined input in a cool Dodge case.Im guessing you cant get those to use a 32 spline input can you? Yea but only a 60 front? I vote he saves the ford 60 he built for the burb and cuts the C’s on 70 and rotates pinion up a couple degrees, and then uses that mag box for extra front driveshaft length. That seems like path of least resistance, and badass. The rest of the drivetrain on that truck deserves, make that DEMANDS, a part like that !
Sup’d up 6BT, big-ass 6-spd, possibly the ultimate in adaptation and range box, cool Ford 205 that addresses your rear output needs and gives options and to wrap it all up with a hairy-low-swing’n DANA 80
I’ve gotta Ford round pattern NP-205 if ya can’t find one for sale.
Do it - please do it !
He could just empty the bank account and get a GM Top Kick/Kodiak or Ford high-pinion D70-F H.D. housing and put the inner C’s on it.Yea but only a 60 front? I was trying to be budget conscious lol. But i agree, he needs proper exhaust! He could just empty the bank account and get a GM Top Kick/Kodiak or Ford high-pinion D70-F H.D. housing and put the inner C’s on it.
This way the D70 cool factor is maxed out and the chunk could be placed so that the exhaust down pipe can be as big as wanted.
Unfortunately flipping a low-pinion housing upside down does not work - it would spin the axle shafts in the opposite direction because it’s still getting input from the front driveshaft that’s being driven off of the transfer case counter gear/driven gear front output setup.I was trying to be budget conscious lol. But i agree, he needs proper exhaust!
Other option is to switch his 70 to driver drop and rotate Cs.
can you just flip the axle upside down and cut/rotate the Cs right side up? Guessing there would probably be some lubrication issues since pumpkin is upside down. If that would work that would save bunch of work and then have a high pinion! Lol
