1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Siiiiiiiick

Tomorrow im going to try to get the headache rack put on this thing a little more permanently than the cucv was ever done.

A lot of the cucv parts are getting put on this eventually.

Fwiw, I have a 205 collar drilled / tapped for a sensor and a tone ring that I bought here years ago. I believe it’s supposed to use a 241 sensor. You’re welcome to it if you want to try it.

(the parts were modified by a user named Donimator, I think he used to do it for folks occasionally)
I’d be interested in that if he doesn’t want it.

I tell you guys ****in what.

These ORD bilstiens are the cats knees. I put a long arm and progressive springs with foxes on my third gen dodge amd this chevrolet is a better ride.

I'll be dipped in shit. Incredible ride quality.

what springs and specs ?

No shackle flip for me. Replacement rear springs. I plan on adding air bags for load bearing but the anemic tbi350 can barely pull a wet booger out of my nose right now. Ain't gonna be loaded down any time soon.
Cat's knees?

Are we gonna have bee's pajamas next?

Lol. Truck is looking tough.

Yeah we will burn that bridge when we cross it.

Even though I have not even driven my CCLB yet, I decided to spend the extra money when I was installing my ORD lift and did bilstiens as well. From what everyone has said, it makes a world of difference. I'm hoping with the shackle flip in the back on mine, and with the bilstiens, it will ride real nice unloaded. Then I plan to bag mine in the rear for heavy towing too

Are you running the stock spring packs with your shackle flip? I'm going to redo my rear suspension this year and I'm very interested in what you other crewcab guys are running. I may go up to a 64" spring, undecided...

Yes, factory spring pack in the back of mine with a 2.5" shackle flip, ORD beef shackles, and I added an EZ inch later (so roughly 3.5" of total lift...honestly probably closer to 4"). Front are 3" lift springs (though they look more like 4" springs) from ORD. They are not the custom ORD springs, just their standard "lift kit" spring they offer. Mine was this:

Just designed for a 1-ton since their flip brackets are different for 1-ton vs 3/4 and 1/2 tons

Yeah what is the rear spring configuration on it? Mine had chingos leafs in it.
One of the main reasons for replacement rear springs.

I can't remember off hand, but I'm pretty sure they are 7 or 8 plus overload

Mine has 9 total leaves, 8+ overload and is about 3-5/8" thick. The stock ratings for these springs are 3,500 lbs.

I went with TC 4" HD front springs and I am currently running a block in the rear.

There is a stock 3/4 ton 56" spring 2,600 lb rating, also 9 leaves, but 3-3/16" thick that i'm considering, with a 4" shackle flip to match my front lift.

I could go 64" spring too, if I do, i'll probably get a lift spring and keep the tension shackle.

The stock lighter rate 56" spring would be cheapest and simplest option, so that is likely what I will do.

Yeah, that very well might be my same rear spring too. Which since mine will be a tow rig, will be fine (with bags of course for heavy towing)

Putting the industrial injection kids through college. Just paid for a semester for one.

Ordered 80hp injectors, phatshaft 62 turbo, ats manifold, 150 lb valve springs, 4k gov springs, 191 delivery valves and some other crap.
