1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Yeah you ****ed up

I know it, the guy that bought it was supposed to fine tune a few things and use it as a daily driver. Sure hope that was the case. Seeing that holy grail of a truck of yours sure gave me regrets

I'll add some coals to the fire for you with another nice CC of mine (8.1/NV4500 swap)...I'll echo what @obijuank5 said...you F***ed up :rotfl:

You guys are gona get me in trouble with my wife... there are a few CCs for sale on Craigslist and I want one or two.

I've got like three on the hook right now that I'm looking at. I put out a feeler for a Dually and it started raining k-30's.... Couple of single cabs but I'm eye balling a crew cab Dually. I just gotta have one.

Brought home a disc dana 80. It will pair well with the dana 70 front for this truck.
The 70f is just too large to wheel it. It's like going from 42s to 39s and then airing down lol.

These axles ought to be able to handle 4 wheel peels at 900 foot lbs and then some. Not that I will ever do that though.

What’s the ratio availability for an D80? I know at first it was limited.

354 410 463 and 513 all available as OEM. Genuine spicer gears are pretty easy to get. And my dana 70hd Detroit locker is the same aside from ring gear bolt holes. I will be running 4.10 gears.

That's the idea. I don't think I can swing an nv5600. They are just so expensive.
It's going to have a tougher drivetrain than the rock crawler lol

Go big or go home....Eaton 6 speed to a divorced 205. It will mount to a medium duty bellhousing on the Cummins and you can run a factory dual disc ceramic clutch for a semi also.

That's what I want if I ever do a CCLB with a DT466 in it or maybe even a cough cough Cummins.

That's the tranny my brother has in his semi (behind a DT466). That sucker is a freaking big tranny!! Pretty fun to drive and shift though! But I'll admit, the NV4500 shift pattern is a lot nicer to drive all around...especially if your wife might end up having to drive the truck eventually ;)

Lol my wife will probably never drive this truck unfortunately. That'd be badass.
That trans is just too cool and out of my tool selection. Probably don't have enough impact to take the yoke off.

Yep a good 3/4" gun maybe or any 1" gun with a 1/2" air hose will do it.

Mmmm Eaton! I’d much rather shift the one in our international over an NV5600. The trans is the main reason I hate to drive my friends 02

Should have installed 5.13s like @nvrenuf said he did. I got the 4.56 and Detroit from a cucv pullout for a good deal. It helped but it just doesn't have any power.
I did have a pinion seal leak. That's nice to be fixed.

I said previously I can knock this out in a couple hours. Nope. Took me 4 hours to do this. I'm getting rusty in my old age.

I put the diff cover from my blazer when it had the 14 bolt. Now all my trucks can be identified by the rear cover.

My 5.13’s are perfect across the board with 37’s and the NV4500 OD. A Diesel might change that math though I suppose.
