1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

Exactly 10 pounds of shit in a 10 pound bag.

Fits pretty well honestly. Intercooler is 1" shorter than the space it sits in. Radiator is basically as tall as the core support is.
Shroud can be pulled without pulling the fan. Radiator can come straight up without pulling the shroud. Intercooler can be leaned back and pulled out without pulling the core support. This is the second try.

Yeah. Second gen. Using the shroud is probably a waste of money and effort in my case because the mid mount compressor interferes with the coolant overflow. A less bulky shroud would be nice.

I forgot to ask but you didn't cut the firewall at all right? What are you running for motor mounts/crossmember and is it in a "standard" location or did you just push it all back as far as you could and mount it?

Making good progress these last few days. Took the week off and tried to devote most of it to the k30.

First and foremost lost the 91 grille for the only grille that matters. Amd reproduction grille and bezels. Hella headlights and nos marker lenses which baaaaaaaarely fit. Good original gm trim.

6.2 firewall insulation installed. Pro tip, do that first. 2nd gen dodge s&b filter set fits OK. Made a couple little stands to support it. The intake elbow barely misses a stud on the big ass alternator.

Coming up is the secondary hood latch needs to be reversed. As is it will hit the condenser. Tons of tiny stuff has happened that chews up lots of time.

Funny until earlier this year I always preferred the 89-91 clip (mainly GMC grill) to the 81-88 stacked headlights, so I would have said you were crazy for backdating. After seeing some nicely done 81-88 stacked headlight setups, I’m sold it is better. Your ‘84 setup is on point, looks great.

I have an 84 and 89, I prefer the 89.
I do like my round eye better though.
I need to get me a 70's k5 or at least put a front clip on my 85 k5

Nice to see the in grill signal lights can be used, I've seen in a few threads guys had to move or remove them entirely to make space

I tell ya hwut that was a two step pain in the nuts to get this going. I hate bumper work anyways.

I had a nice little extra bracket for whatever reason. Had to take the burr and open up the holes in the frame brackets a bit. Then at some point in time the left front hit something and dimpled the frame a little where the angled outer bumper braces bolt on. Made lining up everything a dream. But after that it went well.

Got the bumper cut for the hawse fairlead and prepped for a repaint. It's just too windy. I'll get that on after while.
Riveted brace I had.
