1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

I get the permanent aspect of the u- bolt/air bags, don’t mess with a good thing.

They won’t fit on a dodge 60 rear either, apparently i used dodge wheels on the rear and Chevy on the front on my W350, I went to rotate them and couldn’t get the front wheels over the rear hubs :doah:

Yep, external hub d60 hub is bigger than a factory gm wheel as well. My 60 came with roller steel wheels that were torched out to clear :doah:

Apparently, GM like likes small diameter hubs. Same deal with the 6 on 5.5 truck wheels if trying to put GM wheels on a Toyota.

Cant bore out the centers as needed on the gm wheels? They will be covered with the dogdishes so no-one will know the wiser?

Hole saw? How is that gonna be used?
Way back when at LAFD we had G30 and F350 ambulances, and stacks of wheels with mounted tires. Gm and Ford wheels mixed. The gm wheels wouldn't fit on the ford's. I remember it only took a few minutes with die grinder and carbide burr to clearance the Gm wheels. Obviously before further went metric bolt circle

I have to bump from 4.5 to 4.75 so I’m going to try and use the smaller as a guide and the larger to cut. I don’t need the hub centric strength but I’m going to try and not be sloppy and torch em out. At least try and maintain that lip a little.

So let me think this through. You are going to use a 4.5" hole saw inside a 4.75" hole saw to keep it centered. Is there drive adapter that will thread into both ?

It works just like that on the smaller saws I have, I just have never seen the larger diameter ones in hand so I can’t accurately answer that. I am crossing my fingers and toes it does.

There’s usually just enough threads on the arbor to double stack them.

Now I’m gonna try and add one of these fox ATS suckers since the truck drives really well. Try and get some driver comfort back to the steering wheel. View attachment 454364
Is that the one where the shaft passes all the way through the other side? My brother has one on his jlu and loves it.

Yeah that’s the one. They do really well for the people who have em, and I like the idea. A buddy got me a used one to try it out.
