What did you change to, 4.56 or 4.88?Man I’ve just been driving it. I’m at 112k now and it’s been a fun daily driver. First drive in summer of 2022 at 93k ish.
Haven’t done anything to it. I almost don’t know what to do with myself.
I think the only thing I’d change, and I go back and forth on this every day, is I should have kept 4.10s.
Then you need more tq.3.73 which is a perfect match in almost all scenarios except for where I am in 6th and 60 on some light hills. Happens every day for about 5 miles. 5th is screaming, and 6th is luggin. I can sail at 75 and still get 17mpg though.
As is it pulls excellent and has great EGT numbers. Feel like a Toyota guy always wanting a little lower gear.

I keep forgetting, what size tire?3.73 which is a perfect match in almost all scenarios except for where I am in 6th and 60 on some light hills. Happens every day for about 5 miles. 5th is screaming, and 6th is luggin. I can sail at 75 and still get 17mpg though.

Or get a splitter, or a 2 speed rear axleWhites better than 1000 ft/lb?
You guessed it. 1200.
Well you shouldn't be pulling in 6th anyway. I call it a good combo thenIs the 6th gear lugging pulling a load or empty?
My Dodge has a g56, 3.73’s and 35’s, it’s not winning any races in 6th but the only time I’ve felt like I could use more power is when I’m pulling the Blazer (~9k lbs).
Yeah that is about 35" tire, the same as my 255/85/17 I will be running.315/75r16s and a late model g56 which is super close to the nv4500 od ratio.
I can tire down a size or regear. Both cost about the same.
Your g56 is the lower .79 ratio trans that only the 5.9 g56 trucks had. It pulls great in 6th.Is the 6th gear lugging pulling a load or empty?
