1991 v3500 - big dumb lifted forever truck

I missed out on building jamboree trucks. I want to, so I’m going to. No time like the present I’d say.
John got me goin to the Indy Jamborees in the early 90’s through the early 2000’s - we even took and entered his old 91 V-3500 there the last time we attended.
Even after three days of walking the grounds at Indy ya never got tired of all those countless lifted Squares and Fords of every kind - it was a great era of big damn tire truck builds!
All the never ending shocks and stabilizers were were just unnecessary crap for those show trailer Queen trucks - in the real world of 90’s era tall trucks that stuff was not used.

It was a great time when lifted trucks, that were actually taken off-road, were common to see on the streets - probably because we were all young and could not afford a second vehicle.

Build that truck like ya want to !

@tarussell knows that every day I fight the addiction-like urge to put 44 Boggers, 6" more lift and multiple shocks on my Blazer. I've even considered moving all of my parts to a crew cab for a more show / cruiser type build (as opposed to shop ornament) but square body prices are just too high to follow through.

Yeah I have always had a plan too to build an 80s type show truck with 12-in springs and a 3-inch body lift and some 44 inch boggers. Probably a red long bed K30 with a triple double Chrome roll bar.

Is it gonna get a dump bed and a triple double chrome roll bar too? Gotta take this thing all the way you know!
:haha:
I was going to mention the triple chrome roll bar when I mentioned the shocks, but figured I'd see how the shocks went over first :thumb:

Real question - how will the kids get in? Please no big hoops or steps

That’s part of stay’n fit - just pick them young’ns up and chuck them on in the truck ! Once they get big enough it’s time for them to put the skills they learned on the jungle-Jim to use.

The retro 80’s look is getting really popular across FB groups, things like double or triple roll bars and KC lights are bringing big money. Old Warn bumpers are $300-$400. Bart Wheels closing has driven the price of those wheels sky high too.
