The RCD 6" lift in my 98 K3500 has been trouble free for nearly 40k miles (probably just jinx that), tows well and has gotten in an out of places it shouldn't have been with a trailer recovering the Blazer and drives like a really big Cadi.
Only complaints is you can't move the front spindle forward 1" - 1.5" without re-engineering everything and the brakes suck at best.
On my Suburban, I'm thinking 05+ SD axles front and back (they are relatively cheap & plentiful). Would get 4 wheel disk and eliminate front leafs. If it works well, will probably try it on the K3500 too.
@Kay86K5 ...sorry, not trying to hijack your thread, but, if you went this route, figured out the front links and such. I could just copy your build.
