1A Auto Weatherstripping

Bummer - I wish this thread had been around a few months ago. I had read a few other posts about LMC's questionable quality so I ordered some vent window seals from Classic Industries instead (NOT Classic Parts) in Nov '12 for my 1986 K5 and sure enough they already started cracking and shrinking (they're marked "Made in Thailand"). I should've returned them immediately when I saw their point of origin but the other door/top seals I ordered seem to be holding up ok. I guess theyre too old to get any kind of refund or return...I'm thinking of replacing them witth Soffseals (although OEM would be nice if found). I'd like to go with 1A Auto but I need the 2 piece seal which wasn't listed on their site...

y5, no one wants to pay for quality anymore.

Bubba, the seals from LMC and 1A are both from thailand as well. Bu I have had both and I would give an edge of quality towards the 1A parts. plus there customer service thru the forum is awesome!
 
I will for quality!
It's not worth having to do it a second time.
I'm learning the hard way and my truck stay inside the shop all the time.
 
I have never bought weather stripping form them, but everything else I have bought has been great....including warranty service.
 
1A Auto just drop ships from LMC Truck. So no matter who you get it from they both send you the LMC product.

We stock these seals, and 95% of the product that we carry. Pretty much the only things we drop ship are things that have to many variables, such as ACC carpets, and convertible tops.

We stock all of our seals, if ordered by 3:00 Eastern time, we'll ship your order our on the same day, if it's an item that we stock.

I'm not trying to say 1A doesn't stock anything but my seals were shipped from the same address as LMC truck per UPS. It was a KS address and I think 1A is in MA. I would like to be wrong on this but why would my shipped from address be the LMC address?

Ahhh, I can shed some light on this. We own a warehouse in MA, KS and AZ which we stock with our products. We own the warehouse your order shipped from.
