These are front spring hangers for the rear suspension on an 80's vintage K5. DIY4x built these to be used along with 1-ton shackle flip so that a 1-ton version 14bolt is a direct bolt in.

I ran these for 7yrs in the General. I would like $50 shipped (lower 48).

Located an hour north of Denver if you want to meet up for the transaction.

Hmm how does a 14B know what spring hanger is being used? How do these make bolting in the axle easier I'm curious?

because normally when you put a 14 bolt full float from a 1 ton under a k5/10/20 you have to cut off and move the perches in. the 1 ton frame is wider than the others so this will space your springs out enough to match up with the axle instead of matching the axle to your truck .

Oh ok I gotcha now. The spring perches are wider than 3/4 ton and 1/2 ton that's right.

:waytogo: yup. its either change the truck to fit the axle, or change the axle to fit the truck.

these are a part of the first way.
Yep. My 14bolt has the older cast style perches which I've heard are especially difficult to remove. I needed a shackle flip too, so I figured why not do the flip in a 1ton version and DIY4x made me the front brackets.

I guess I felt like removing rivets was easier than the perches. Which is probably debatable. I also like it because it was different. And the best thing is with my new crew cab project the 14 bolt was a direct swap.
