$200 K5 (454 K5 now) *too much junk in the trunk

I will get a pic of the flat springs when I pull it back apart. These new ones are nice and solid. The old ones have no temper in them, I can bend them in my fingers. I bent some arch into them just to hold the caliper while waiting for parts. Didn't last long, noises came back quickly.

The new springs are holding the caliper much better now. I am getting a loud brake squeak from passenger side when I step on the brakes at an intersection. Braking at speed not so much. The pads index with the caliper and bracket just fine but the inner pad can be moved up and down about an 1/8 inch. Am I missing a clip or something? I can hear the pads just touching the rotor when I am driving around town. Not stuck or making heat, just not silent like I think they should be.

Looks like I may be missing an anti-rattle clip. This axle came to me in buckets, stripped down. I am 99% back together, just chasing the little rattles and squeaks. They don't give you a diagram with new calipers and pads any more, it might cost $0.05. I am going to go dig through the toolbox and see if I just didn't put clips in. I seem to remember some wear indicator squeakers that were unnecessary because the pads had squeakers on them. Guess they were probably necessary.

My exhaust guy got a little close on the oil filter. It clears but it almost wont come off for a change. Made a huge mess trying to wiggle it out. Dont really want to cut and weld the pipe if I can avoid it. Fram PH5 was on it. WIX 51060 has same spec on height, 13/16-16 thread, 3.78 diameter and 5.16 tall. Anyone have a part number for one a 1/2" shorter? The cross reference charts keep giving me the same height, I know there are shorter ones that work.
AC Delco PF1218 same spec.

Mabey BOSCH 72235WS at 4.25 tall.
I poke a hole in the bottom of my filters to drain them first.
Got tired of juggling a hot filter around a hot exhaust and winding up with a hot oil bath.

Looks like the current ORD kit uses a ball instead of the heim joint but same overall concept.

Got the brakes fixed up a while back. I let the truck hibernate for a couple months during peak snowmobile season. Got new Offroad Design custom springs, 4" with spring pins moved 1.5" front and back.
You need to come down south with us and play in the snow with 4 wheels every once in a while.

Chris, it was nice to meet you in Moab this March. You have a cool K5! Here the pics and video of what we got of your rig in action on Hells Revenge. Sorry it is not much. Also included is the only obstacle on HR we took this season… Tip over Challenge. A friend of mine that had a badass Rubicon he built rolled over on that obstacle back in 2013. He was so drunk, he passed out behind the wheel mid way up and he woke up in the tent the next day after we packed his passed out body down the trail and shoved him in his sleeping bag, he was ok without a scratch but his Jeep was totaled. lol I vowed to never drink or party when wheeling that day… 100% focused on the line is my thing.
