2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
So today’s project was going to be pulling the front bench seat out, then pulling the carpet to inspect for more rust. After that I was going to swap in the buckets and center console, but as I drove into the driveway I had this feeling of regret for pulling the bench seat. I like the idea of both seat options, but I cannot figure out what route to go now.
Can I hear some opinions on either option?

Buckets.

After I posted that, I remembered that my bench is torn, and the buckets are not. So the buckets are nicer. Plus side, the plug for the electric seats is still there. So that’s a win/win.

Buckets give you more room for center console stuff, light switchs, cb, gauges, general storage, etc.

Damn I was gonna send you the link to the sub box I had in my 97 but it’s discontinued. JL made a stealth box that replaced the console. Was a full molded box with a 10” downfire in it.
Fit perfectly and was totally hidden. Plus you got two great cup holders up front a big one in the back. But now you can just keep your console I guess
