2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
Passenger rear has a little bit more rust, but overall not near as bad as the front. Going to seal that up, then off to get the rear window sealed next week.

I had that same thought. I can get Weathertechs at my work for pretty cheap. I’ll have to look at those when I get called back.
Yeah Weathertech is what I meant. I run them in all the work trucks here at the plant. If you want some really nice seat covers too I'd recommend RuffTuff. Made in SLC and super tough and worth the money.

It’s 6.5 day, and this poor truck is in a sad state.

I finally emptied the bed of a bunch of crap and decided to take it for a short evening drive yesterday.

Well that revealed a partially seized caliper and the blown out bushings I had forgot about.

But I will say this, man this truck has some balls off the line. And that’s being said after DD’ing my Duramax for a few months now. This truck has some grunt still....well until you need to tow above 60mph. And that’s where the Duramax comes in.

But back to this truck. Going to pull the caliper off and grease it. I think my gravel road and sitting a lot have created the issue. I’ll know more tomorrow when I pull it apart.

My dad had a crew cab long bed 4x4 6.5 with I swear 4.10's. Nothing could touch me off a stop light.

Hopefully just caliper slide pins and not a stuck piston. If it does need to be replaced I like the Eclipse line from Napa. You can get a caliper and mount and pins and I think even pads all in one. Looks like they list them as the Adaptive One product line on their site. $80 for the whole shebang ain't too bad.

Mine does have 4.10’s, and it just snaps off the line. My brother and I raced a while ago in his stock ‘03 Duramax, and I had him at the light. Then he just stayed like half a car length behind me. Both of us couldn’t believe it. Lol

I’m hoping it’s just the pins too. They were brand new calipers when I did the axle swap.

Everyone hated on the 6.5 but ours was awesome. Only issue we had was the injection pump at a 100k miles but then again so did my Cummins. Always had a soft spot for them.

Moved this the other day to do more dirt/gravel work for the shop pad, and I had hardly any brake pedal. Went straight to the floor. No leaks present anywhere. Fluid level good. Steering felt fine. Any ideas what I should look for? It's hydro boost, and I have honestly never messed with one before. Can the hydro boost unit just go out like that?

Could be the master cylinder blown out internally.

My truck blew out the front section last year. Left me with nothing but rear brakes...
