2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
BW4401 the factory t-case that would have came in the truck. That way I can use factory linkage and shifter to engage it. And I can find the front half of the rear driveshaft from a 4x4 truck, and it should bolt right in. Basically use all factory parts.

Lol, no. If/when a doubler is built, it's going in the K5. No where near practical for a doubler in this truck.

Yes it will go off road, but no need for a doubler.

Maybe one day if it ever got back-halfed and links.

Yeah, I'm trying to stay away from squirrel moments.

I really don't think I could ever do much more to this other than small changes to make it work better as is, and then get the body back to factory condition.

Anyone know what's different with the transmission x-members from the 2wd to 4wd trucks? Something tells me they were the same.

Or even just a picture of a 4x4 crossmember.

The 4x4 crossmember in my 93K1500 was pretty much perfectly flat, also pretty sure the 2000 K2500 I sold to my dad is also. I'll get a picture of it for you here when I get back home. It's a 350/4L80 truck

I bet minus the holes, it's the same dimensions. I need to crawl under mine and have a better look. I know it's flat, and has to access holes on the bottom that would make it easy to mount the adapter/tail housing.

Thanks for the pics @78K30
