2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
And the disembodied wheels look kinda freaky. Add in the ghostly headlights and you're starting to collect the building blocks for a horror story. :yikes:

Haha, I agree. It's a waiting game at this point. Waiting to get the hubs and rotors back from the machine shop.

There is a small change of plans with the spring choice, and bushings. But I will update more with that, when I have pictures to go along with the info.

Yep, that's a ford hub with a GM bolt pattern.

Definitely going to have to grind the hub down a bit to fit the wheel. No biggie.

I was just gonna say that. I see you are running the lug centric lug nuts to match your wheels. Are you just gonna grind the center opening of the wheel to get them to sit all the way on the hub or will it take more? Like turning down the hub diameter.

dodge / ford / gm for years have all had different hub bore specs . you can swap some around but not all .

and even if its oem lug centric the rim still registers on the hub also .

I was gonna suggest grinding the wheels if it's lug-centric. :dunno:

The front hub is hub centric. The wheel is both lug and hub centric. I will be grinding the hub on the front in order to make the front just lug centric. I do not want to grind the wheel, as it is lug and hub centric. Being that the rear is both, it is a much stronger combo for towing. If I grind the front wheel, then I will never be able to rotate the tires. Leaving the rear with a smaller hub, would mean it would only be lug centric.

I hope that all came out right.
