2000 GMT400 CREW CAB SFA SWAP-The Warden: Fuel leak fixed and awaiting surgery…

The ultimate goal for this truck is tow duty/family camping trips/small offroad adventures.
Nice pics. Are you going to correct the sag in the rear?

P.S. - I feel vindicated now for my earlier predictions. :pimp:

No need to hit below the belt there Ethan. Old age hits us all. Though fairly early for young Greg. Guess we can call him old Greg now

I still remember the "It will be a couple inches over stock" discussion from back in July. I told Greg the front would be taller than the rear and that it would be several inches taller than stock. And he would not believe me.

Take some measurements of your current fender heights and see how far wrong I am when the smoke clears.
You just wait and see Mr. Math :deal::D

Well, Mr. OldGreg, I am waiting and seeing, and I expect a set of before & after measurements to see how wrong I am. But I'm still confident that you are much more than 2" taller than stock. Fess up those numbers! :deal:

Taking the rear blocks off and doing a shackle flip. That should correct all sagging, drooping, flappy butt issues.

@Truckman4life i am using my dads truck to pick it up.

Have you done a weight check to see how flat the springs are going to be with the camper back there? You need to make sure you still have lots of travel room when you're finished. :wink1: :thumb:

There will be plenty of room for travel. I am also getting helper bags for the rear. They will help with the load and also with stability.

Still waiting for a pic of how you ended up doing the steering...looking good otherwise. I think I need one like this someday.

I'll grab some pictures. Ended up having to build my own drag link. Went with GM drag link ends, and 1.5" 1/4 wall tubing. Had to put a slight 25* bend to clear the leaf spring. But everything else worked great.

Cool I was thinking I could come up with a ghetto crossover on my 10 bolt using a ford tie rod tube and build a drag link or something. Haven't really checked into it yet.

My springs being flat helps a lot though. I would imagine springs with an arch would be tough to use this setup.
